Naked Barleyberries
Naturally hull-less (naked) multi-colored barley whole grains (berries). ‘Streaker’ variety bred by Patrick Hayes at OSU. Tasty and nutritious in soup, or in mixture with or instead of brown rice or other whole grains in a rice cooker. Or cook on stovetop: bring 3 c water to a boil, add barley, then simmer covered until soft (about an hour). Drain off any excess water.
